〜TICAD9サイドイベント「アフリカの解決策で逆風を乗り越える：経済成長と人間の安全保障実現のカギはSRHR」を8月21日（木）１２：４０から横浜で開催〜
6年ぶりに日本で開催される第9回アフリカ開発会議（TICAD）。
混迷する世界情勢の中で、アフリカの首脳や国際機関のリーダーが横浜に集結し、8月20日から22日までの3日間、アフリカの開発をテーマとする熱い議論が行われるとともに、多くの関連イベントが開催されます。
国際家族計画連盟（IPPF）は、IPPF東京連絡事務所（国際協力NGOジョイセフ）、国連人口基金（UNFPA)とともに、8月21日（木）12時40分から、パシフィコ横浜展示DホールでTICADサイドイベント「アフリカの解決策で逆風を乗り越える：経済成長と人間の安全保障実現のカギはSRHR」を開催します。
セクシュアル・リプロダクティブ・ヘルス／ライツ（SRHR)は基本的な人権の1つです。昨今の世界情勢の中、ヘルス分野とりわけあらゆる多様性を持つ女性やマイノリティの人生や健康を大きく左右するSRHRに対する支援が大きく削減されています。本イベントでは改めてSRHRの価値や今後の支援のあり方について考えるきっかけとします。

イベント概要
新たな「地殻変動」が起きている世界で、アフリカのセクシュアル・リプロダクティブ・ヘルス／ライツ（SRHR）は大きな逆風の中にあります。本イベントでは、日本政府によるSRHR支援の成果を強調するとともに、危機を克服するためのさらなる投資も含めた必要な解決策についてマルチステークホルダーで話し合います。

The 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) will be held in Japan for the first time in six years.
Amidst the turbulent global situation, African leaders and heads of international organizations will gather in Yokohama. Over three days from August 20 to 22, intense discussions on African development will take place, alongside numerous related events.
The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), in collaboration with the IPPF Tokyo Liaison Office (JOICFP) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), will host a TICAD side event titled “African Solutions to Overcome the Headwinds: Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, SRHR is the Key to Achieving Economic Growth and Human Security” on August 21 (Thu) at 12:40 PM in the Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition D Hall. Sexual and Reproductive Health/Rights (SRHR) are fundamental rights that no one should be deprived of. Withdrawal of funding for SRHR, places a devastating impact on the lives and health of women in all their diversity and marginalised communities. When the importance of SRHR in African development continues to grow, this event aims to serve as an opportunity to reconsider the value of SRHR and the future direction of support for SRHR in light of the current global situation.
